This shaft drops down approximately 20-25m, into a chamber, which has a incline that leads to another shaft which is deep. The shaft is venting and is roughly 500m west of Bogg Shaft. Its position does coincide with the further western reaches of Smallcleugh, Middlecleugh and Capelcleugh along Brown Gill Vein. See Surface Shaft 3 for full details.
