Greenlaws Firestone Level Dig - Through the Pattinson Sill (23/07/11)

Back to Greenlaws Firestone Dig Index

It's been almost 3 months since I last managed to get up - a lot has happened. The long awaited Pattinson Sill was reached and passed giving a 100% marker in how deep the progress has got to. The strata is now changing and little bands of mineralisation are occurring, which signals the approach of the Little Limestone, but don't get too excited, its still a bit of.

The kibble run has been rebuilt to accommodate the long run of the shaft - everything runs very smoothly now. Ladders all the way to the bottom have been installed and some more pumps have been added to the chain, so now water can be pumped out from the bottom when needed. Outside the culvert has been cleared again.

A number of new people have been coming up to help out, which is keeping Pete happy.
