Hodgson's Low Level - First Exploration (20/08/04)

When we entered the adit it was apparent that this was an old mine just from the feel. As we progressed down the entrance passage, many small working where passed, some filled with spoil, others accessable. All along there where also a few shafts with workings intersecting them higher up. There is still plenty of scope for further exploration - even if it is tie up loose ends. Finally we came to a partial collapse, which was passable and the passage continued past it - however it was filled with deep water and looked grotty. This is as far aswe went.
