If the laddered rise and hopper was a junction then this is the second junction we came to. This is the bottom of a large shaft. Past the debris mound is a flooded level. If we have got our orientation right then this shaft could be the bottom of Charlies Sump. The shaft was wet, but the water coming down it was a very fine mist, strange.
