North 3 Level - Dowgang Burn Woods (13/01/08)

This was the third level that we have come across. When we first came across it last year, the level entrance was fully sealed by a rock fall from the small cliff face - not surprising when you see the amount of water flowing down it.

When we visited this time round, to our surprise the fall had been cleared, and neatly stacked to one side. Removing one of the rocks that was sealing the entrance, looking in you could see the gate a little way down. To get in would have meant disturbing the covering rocks, so we left it for the diggers to carry on with. It would be good to hear from the group who is involved in this, especially if you have any history about these levels.
